Are you ready to dream a bigger dream?

Happy New Year word cloud on a white background.

How big is your dream?

I wasn’t raised believing in dreams. I was raised believing in hard work. Along my journey I have learned that whilst there is nothing wrong with the concept of hard work, it is not the only way.

Neuroscience, cell biology, and other leading edge science can now demonstrate how our thoughts and imagination can change physical reality. Don’t believe me? Check out the book Biology of Belief by Bruce Lipton, it’s filled with data about how a persons belief affected physical reality. My favourite is the story of how people who imagined (never actually moved a muscle) weight training to grow their biceps, had an average 22% increase in muscle mass after the period of the experiment. The people sweating in the gym had an average of 30% increase. Good news for everyone already breaking their New Year’s resolution about going to the gym. Sit in your comfy chair and imagine doing the exercise, you’ll get nearly the same results. 😆

Joking apart–what do you spend your time imagining? Is your mental energy focussed on worry, complaining, gossiping and generally stressing out? Or is it focussed on your dreams and intentions for a spectacular life? You get to choose. Here’s the thing about that–the more time you spend imagining your dreams with deliberate intention, using all of your focus and feelings, the more likely you are to achieve them.

It doesn’t mean that you don’t have to take any action. Follow your guidance, trust your inner knowing, and take action from inspiration not desperation.

To empower you to get 2016 off to a great start I have recorded this special Monday Meditation to support you in expanding your dreams, and lean into a greater possibility for your life. It only takes a few minutes to listen so give yourself this gift today.

Have you made a list of things that you would love to be, do, or have in 2016? If not, you might want to take some time to create one. Here’s a few of the items on my list this year:

  • Publish my second book
  • Take my wife on a cruise for our birthday celebration
  • Find the first permanent home for Phoenix Rising Centre for Spiritual Living
  • Get my radio show, Beyond Beliefs, on iTunes
  • Promote Igniting Success Beyond Beliefs to more independent book stores and centres

The thing about dreams is not to be invested in the outcome. Dream your dreams because when you dream them you feel good. If they don’t make you feel good then perhaps you need some new dreams. There are no limits in the imaginary world, you get to create a life as spectacular as you like.

So what will you dream in 2016?
